We all know that it is not everybody’s cup of tea to start a business of their own. It is a risky affair that only some have the mettle for. Being an entrepreneur requires certain skill sets, ideologies and most importantly a clear vision to lead one into paths of success. So, if you are looking at starting your own business then you must ask yourself these 3 questions:
- The WHY – why do I want to do this business?
This is the primary foundation on which you will build your business. You need to do a reality check and ask yourself if your motive is just getting rich or to make a difference in the world. There is no harm in being rich, but if it is done with the intention of contributing to making a better world then your entire approach and perhaps strategy will see a clear shift.
- The WHO – who am I?
A successful entrepreneur is one who strives to further improve his strengths and works towards working on his weaknesses. Your entire business revolves around you; so it is good to have a clear picture of who you are – a personal SWOT analysis can help define your strategies towards a successful business.
- The WHERE- which direction to choose?
Once you have an idea on which you are going to base your entire business; you need to then chart out a way to get there. It is important to prepare. Planning is equal to the first major milestone of success. You need to figure out how you are going to go about it. The logistics needs to be worked out; the place, the time, the people, the permissions, etc. All of this will consume time and energy but it is worth it.
It is not easy to start a new business but if you have the right motives and the right attitude, it can surely help you get there soon.
