Product Spotlight SmartPanel Video Projector Controller by Denise Harrison, Producer How
many times do customer support teams for dealers and integrators answer
calls from users who can't make the right connections? How many projectors
have hand-written instructions taped on the wall next to them? Even the
most sophisticated of us hate fumbling around with connections. SmartPanel
from SP Controls, now shipping nationwide, is designed to make connections
easier for even the newest of users.
Site of the Week Unicity Networks Convention Using
a 70-foot Opera Cyc, a massive backdrop made of fabric, Image Technical
Services projected larger-than-life video and graphics to an international
audience of nearly 3,000 attending this year's Unicity Network's North
American National Convention. Unicity Network is a nutritional products
manufacturer and distributor.
From Our User Forum Problem: With many combo scaler/seamless switchers today, I notice a "lag" in the image whenever live video with some motion is present. It almost looks like the image is "stroboscopic" and can be quite bothersome. Even with the scaler set to "synchronize" off of the NTSC video input, this problem remains present, though slightly reduced, apparently because the video projectors are still expecting a refresh rate of 60 Hz, and video is coming in at 29.97 fps.
