A
Case Study in Credit Card Fraud: A Dealer's Story
By Gary Kayye, CTS
"I want this story told so other AV dealers don't have to go through
what we've gone through this year," were the words written by Jon Scott,
Louisiana-based Creative Presentations' Director of eCommerce, in an
e-mail I received the other day. He continues to express, "We are thankful
that it was only a $15,000 lesson we learned. It could have been worse."

Ball and Socket Projector Mount from Peerless Industries
The new Vector Pro from Peerless Industries, Inc. (Melrose Park, IL) looks
like a winner. With a ball and socket mechanical design, it makes installation
and positioning versatile but also provides security for the ceiling mounted
parts.
Fixing

This review, and my exploration of these three books, began with a simple
question: Are there general principles of diagnosing and repairing faults
in electronic products and electronic systems? Obviously there are particular
repair instructions for each individual electronic product you might encounter,
even if the odds of those instructions being intact and available when needed
are close to nil. But are there deeper principles that can be applied across
multiple products, even across multiple categories of products?
