Five
Minutes With: Patricia A. Basteri,
Chief
Executive Officer, Mass AV
"One of the major influences on the industry is the merging
of the IT and AV industries. The AV industry needs to hold on to its position
by providing services utilizing the Internet, such as Web streaming and
videoconferencing at the desktop."

NEC
LT155
Ultraportable digital LCD projector
by Dave Nagel
For the last several weeks I've had in my possession my first NEC ultraportable-class
digital projector, the LT155. It's not the smallest projector on the market,
but it is tiny, about the size of two subnotebooks stacked on top of one
another (11.1" x 8.2" x 2.8"), and it weighs a scant 4.9 lbs. (not counting
cables, etc.). Most important, it stands up well in comparison with its
more expensive and bulkier siblings in NEC's product line.
Pumpkins
into Gold: Selling Service Agreements
By Alan Kruglak
For many systems integrators, service agreements are one of the most forgotten
and disrespected sources of revenue. Little do they know that long-term
benefits of selling service agreements will not only signif-icantly improve
cash flow and increase profitability, but it will also increase the market
value of their company.
