Macromedia has announced version 8.5 of Director, its interactive
authoring environment for creating presentations and interactive applications
for CD and the Web. The new version, set to ship in May, will include
the ability to create interactive 3D presentations on the Web through
technology jointly developed with Intel. Macromedia Director 8.5 Shockwave
Studio also includes a new version of the Shockwave Multiuser Server and
support for both Macromedia Flash 5 and streaming RealMedia content. more
