Adobe Illustrator is such a mature product and has been so fixed in its ways for so long that I never expected Adobe to take it any further than it's already been. The last time I reviewed a major upgrade of the software (version 10), I explicitly told you that the most you could expect out of future updates would be improvements under the hood--tweaks to the workflow, improvements to existing features, etc. But I was wrong, and Illustrator CS has shown me just how much a mature application can still grow.

Besides the fact, the book is almost coffee-table book size (only soft-cover), how many Photoshop books actually start with an almost 45 page gallery of art? When I first looked at the work in this book I thought I had received a Painter book by mistake. But none of this work was done in Painter.

Anystream Unveils Apreso 2003 for PowerPoint

Extensis Updates Photoshop Plugins
New versions add Panther and Photoshop CS support
Extensis has released updates to three of its plugins for Adobe Photoshop: pxl SmartScale, Mask Pro and PhotoFrame. All of the new versions add support for Mac OS X 10.3 and Photoshop CS. They're available now for Mac OS 9, Mac OS X and Windows.
