Sometimes vendor's products are overlapping, decreasing efficiency
ProAV dealers should recognize the benefits of a vendor and product management strategy. Perhaps I should define my terms so we're on the same page. A strategy suggests a thoughtful process that is ongoing. Vendor and product management refers to the pro-active direction of the vendors and products sold by your dealership.

An alternate method for bringing out detail in dark areas of digital photographs
Normally when you're trying to pull the detail out of excessively dark or light portions of your image, you'd head over to your curves or levels adjustments in Adobe Photoshop and tweak your image until you get something close to your desired result. But more and more I'm becoming convinced that a different technique is more appropriate, one involving multiple layers that not only produces better results in situations requiring drastic image surgery, but also faster results with less fine-tuning.

TV Station in a Box adds new features, enhancements, better value
The next version of the Video Toaster for Windows is now available, and the first thing you'll have to do is stop calling it the Video Toaster. It's now officially called VT[3] ($2995 for capture card and software), and that, according to its creator NewTek, isn't really an acronym any more. But there's still that huge feature set, with VT[3] bringing you almost everything you need to create all kinds of uncompressed video, live, and all in one box. Besides new editing improvements and added features throughout its extensive feature set, you get a full-boat copy of LightWave 3D 7.5 in the box. When NewTek calls this an integrated production suite, they're not kidding.
