Casio Enters Data Projector Market With Two High-Luminosity Projectors
High-luminosity projection XJ-350 features micro-portable configuration, XJ-450 projector has auto vertical and horizontal keystone correction and auto focus
Casio, Inc., in conjunction with its parent company, Casio Computer Company, Ltd., Tokyo, Japan, today entered the Data Projector Market. The company introduced two new high-luminosity mobile projector models (XJ-350 and XJ-450) that are designed and engineered to add a new dimension of portability to the data projector market. To complete this new line, Casio also introduced a new 4-megapixel CCD multi-functional document copy stand (YC-400). These new products are scheduled for release into the business and education markets starting in December.

Alias Systems has released Maya Personal Learning Edition (PLE) 5.0, a non-commercial version of the 3D modeling and animation suite based on the latest Maya software. The software shipped in July on CD, but is now available as a free download. It supports Mac OS X and Windows.
Motorola Getting Into TV and Video Display Business
Alliance Agreement Combines Motorola With Proview's Display Manufacturing and Distribution
Motorola and Proview International Holdings, Limited announced in Shenzhen that they have signed an alliance agreement to begin the manufacturing and distribution of a line of high quality displays that bring the Motorola connected home experience to market. These devices will incorporate the latest in display technologies and differentiated features, and are planned for phased rollout to territories worldwide beginning in late 2003.
StreamGuard Finds That 51% of Streams Frustrate Viewers and Advertisers
StreamGuard.net analyzed 3,721,724 digital media streams during Q2, 2003 and found that 51% would anger advertisers and frustrate viewers. The study marshaled StreamGuard PC agents across the country to check over 300 websites and examine more than 2,400 different streams.

Sharp Systems of America today announced the Sharp Actius RD3D, the world's first notebook computer that incorporates Sharp's TFT 3D LCD technology, which makes it possible to view eye-popping 3D images using the naked eye, but is easily switched back to 2D viewing for standard applications such as spreadsheets, photo editing or email.
