Model SDM-P232W/B tops Apple's HD Cinema Display in many ways, same LCD in both
If you've been lusting after Apple's 23" HD Cinema display but are using a PC, there are certain cables you can use to make the gorgeous Apple screen bend to your PC's will. Or you can consider Sony's entry into this high-end monitor market, the 23" SDM-P232W/B PremierPro which includes an apparently identical LCD inside and some subtle, clean styling of its own. $2295 V-1100Z projector brings new functionality and better performance
Plus Vision Corporation of America, the first manufacturer to introduce a two-pound projector, announced today the newest addition to its two-pound line of DLP projectors. The V-1100Z has a 1:1.2 zoom lens and enables flexible mobile presentations.

Procedural texture generation suite for Adobe Photoshop
In this world there are two types of texturization filters: image-based and procedural. The former is good for getting quick results for common texture styles--canvas, sandstone, brick and the like--and there are plenty of plugins of this sort available. (Alien Skin's excellent Resurface plugin comes to mind.) But, in the end, image-based filters limit you to the resolution of the base texture and the creativity of the developer. Procedurals, on the other hand, offer unlimited creativity and resolution, but at the cost of efficiency (and, often, practicality). However, Digital Anarchy has found a way to combine the creative potential of procedurals with practicality and efficiency in an expansive, well designed plugin suite for Adobe Photoshop called Texture Anarchy.

Adobe has updated its Acrobat PDF creation software to Acrobat 6 Professional with new features for creative and CAD professionals that will ease the distribution and management of creative media.

Low-Cost, Large-Venue XL5900 ColorView Equipped with Exclusive Motion-Sensitive Theft Alarm
Mitsubishi Digital Electronics America's Presentation Products Division introduced the newest projector in its security-equipped line of products, the XL5900 ColorView. The XL5900 ColorView now allows Mitsubishi Digital to offer a value-version LCD projector equipped with the industry’s first built-in motion-sensitive anti-theft alarm feature. The alarm, formerly available only on Mitsubishi Digital’s flagship projector XL5950U, is designed to deter projector theft from unattended classrooms, meeting and boardrooms, hotel facilities or other easy-access conference room settings.
InterVideo, Inc. announced today that WinDVD Creator, InterVideo's award-winning movie-making software, will be bundled with all new HP notebook PCs. The first system shipping with WinDVD Creator is the new HP Pavilion zd7000 Series Widescreen Notebook PC, which is available with a DVD+RW drive.

Compact 3.5-ounce camera offers 4-megapixel resolution
Canon has introduced a new model in its line of PowerShot Digital ELPH still cameras. The new PowerShot SD10 is a 4-megapixel digital camera, which Canon bills as the smallest in its class, measuring 3.6" x 1.9" x 0.7" and weighing in at 3.5 ounces. It's expected to be available next month.
New relationship levels the distribution playing field for independent filmmakers
The AFI Los Angeles International Film Festival (AFI FEST), Los Angeles' premier international film festival, and CustomFlix, the pioneers of on-demand video publishing, today announced a new relationship that enables AFI to offer CustomFlix's independent publishing system to all AFI FEST filmmakers and extend the services offered at AFI FEST.
