Dell Precision Mobile Workstation M60
Dell's pocket rocket puts most desktop workstations to shame

Dell has released a workstation-class notebook that's built like a truck, looks like a gleaming aircraft, is exceedingly fast and powerful, and comes packed with components that were once only available on desktop workstations. Is it suitable for digital video editing, high end presentations and 3D graphics work? There's only one way to answer that three-part query: Yes, yes and yes. Here's our review.
Photoshop Effects: Metallic Foil
Creating stamped and leafed effects with Photoshop's built-in tools

If you're looking for tutorials on creating metallic effects in Adobe Photoshop, there's certainly no shortage on the Web. This is one of the reasons I've avoided doing these sorts of pieces in the past. However, I haven't seen any such articles that you can use for turning an ordinary photographic image into something resembling foil, leafing, stamped metal or other similar effects, which you might use to create the appearance of a gold charm, a coin or maybe the silver leafing on a wedding invitation. Get More Out Of Your Conference Call By Observing Proper Etiquette
Tips to help avoid common conference call missteps

As telephone and web conferencing grows in popularity, more and more people are discovering there is a right way and a wrong way to conduct conference calls. CRT’s Last Stand?
Finding a place for CRT monitors as LCDs gain ground

One thing is certain: CRT sales are declining, and LCD sales are rising, so it may be increasingly difficult to buy a CRT, even if it’s a better fit for your work. According to iSuppli/Stanford Resources, a research firm in San Jose, California, iSuppli predicts the CRT market share in North America will decline to less than 1 percent by 2007. Why buy a CRT if it’s on the way out? Buyers stay with a declining product for two reasons, says Rhoda Alexander, iSuppli’s director of monitor research. “They either stay because of price, or they stay because of quality.”
Mobile Users Embrace Wi-Fi, IDC Says
Home Use Leading the Way

Mobile users continue to take advantage of wireless network capabilities, but more so in their personal lives than in their professional lives. According to a recent survey of more than 2,500 members of IDC's Mobile Advisory Council, 34% of respondents use a wireless 802.11 (Wi-Fi) LAN at home compared to 27% at work. These results confirm IDC's position that although Wi-Fi is being utilized more frequently by highly mobile individuals, business use of Wi-Fi, especially within the enterprise, is lagging behind home use.
