Panasonic announced the availability of the new PT-L780U portable XGA LCD projectors with a high brightness of 3,200 ANSI lumens and an outstanding 500:1 contrast ratio. RL-JA20 Wide XGA Resolution LCD Projector Features FLI2310 Controller with DCDi by Faroudja Video Processing Genesis Microchip Inc., a provider of display image processors for consumer and PC-display products, today announced that LG Electronics, a consumer electronics corporation, has designed Genesis Microchip's FLI2310 digital video processor into its new RL-JA20 LCD home theater projector. The projector is now available worldwide for approximately $3,000.00 USD and carries the DCDi by Faroudja logo on its faceplate for easy consumer recognition. Photoshop plugins designed for procedural and texture effects Digital Anarchy has released Texture Anarchy, a plugin suite for creating texture and edge effects in Adobe Photoshop. It supports Mac OS 9, Mac OS X and Windows and is available now. "Put in a good word for me" actually helps job hunt Job seekers take note: Executives today are looking for a few good words when making hiring decisions, according to a recent survey. LT240K and LT260K Feature Increased Brightness and Lamp Life, USB Input, End User Rebates NEC Solutions (America), Inc. today made its LT240 and LT260 portable desktop projectors a greater value by enhancing their brightness and lamp life while maintaining the products' existing price points. With the addition of new rebates on units purchased through September 30, 2003, NEC is making high-performance wireless projection technology more affordable. The enhanced models will be designated the LT240K and LT260K. Iomega Corporation (NYSE:IOM), a global leader in data storage, today announced that working prototypes of its new Iomega(R) Removable Rigid Disk (RRD) technology, with an expected native capacity of 35 gigabytes (70 gigabytes compressed) per cartridge at product launch, are now being evaluated by potential Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Based on Iomega's development schedule and product launch goals, server and desktop products incorporating the RRD drive are expected to be available for shipment in early 2004. Samsung America announced today that it is the first Korean supplier of LED (Light Emitting Diode) displays to enter the U.S. digital signage market. The Company will be unveiling its revolutionary indoor/outdoor display at a media event to be held in New York City, August 11th and 12th. Samsung will distribute its LED screens through an exclusive marketing and distribution agreement with BillBoard Video, Inc., the only company to provide out-of-home full motion video advertising and content with real-time verifiable impression rates via a Wireless Media Network(TM). Wireless Capabilities and Large Venue Versatility Enable Innovative Applications InFocus Corporation introduced new wireless-ready, high-performance installation projectors that combine powerful projection, easy installation and versatile options. The InFocus LP840 offers quality and ease-of-use features; while the InFocus LP850 brings a new class of performance and power to the family of products. New models offer up to 320 GB capacity FirewireDirect has released a new line of external hard drives, the Ultra III 800 series. The new line offers both FireWire 800 and USB 2.0 interfaces and comes in capacities ranging from 80 GB to 320 GB (as well as a 0 GB bare enclosure). The new drives are available now. |
