Auto FX DreamSuite Series 1
Special effects suite and plugin for Adobe Photoshop

A couple of months ago, Auto FX Software sent me their complete DreamSuite effects package, and I have to say I've found one major flaw with it: There's simply too much to review all at once. Fortunately, the DreamSuite Bundle is also available in three separate, smaller packages--Series 1, Series 2 and Gels--so I have a logical (and merciful) stopping point. This time around we'll take a look at the first package, DreamSuite Series 1.
Gra-VT 2 Go: Small But Potent
Turnkey DV editing turns heads

If you're looking for one of the sharpest-looking PCs in town, there's a computer builder in Norcross, Georgia that can put one together for you with exactly the components you want. Because of the Gra-VT 2 Go's (pronounced "gravity to go") tiny new FlexATX motherboard inside, designers can get away with case shapes like the FIC Ice Cube, a plastic and aluminum box that looks unlike any computer you've ever seen. Take a look a this remarkable new system, which even though it's wearing a pretty face, packs a powerful 3.06GHz P4 punch as well.
Wacom CintiqPartner
Pressure-sensitive companion tablet for the Cintiq 15x and 18sx

Some in this world are given riches, some good looks, some brains, some talent, some personality. A few are lucky enough to have all of these. But even amongst humanity's favored elite, there is yet a further stratification, a dividing factor that separates the truly blessed from the merely fortunate. I refer, of course, to the quality of one's computer equipment. And here, in the realm of computer gadgets, nothing quite demonstrates Lady Fortune's favors more clearly than that crown of peripheral providence, the Wacom Cintiq.
Hiding in the Workshop
Creating DVD buttons that are transparent until moused over or selection focused

DVD authoring is becoming more of a necessity for video editing houses than just an add-on offering. Corporate departments, educators, post houses, event videographers, wedding videographer/editors are needing to learn new tricks to satisfy their clients, and DVD delivery of projects is definitely a client demand these days. Clients continually demand imagery and productions as close to Hollywood as they can get, and most editors want to deliver that same quality, or at least the appearance of super high quality presentations.
Matrox Millennium P750

Most everyone in the DCC space-- from video editors to Photoshop gurus to CAD users know the benefits that having dual displays on the desktop are to getting the job done. Having twice the screen real estate for specific tasks helps to unclutter all the tool palettes that you open everyday in your applications.
