Maxtor Personal Storage 5000DV
Huge 150GB backup capacity, fast reads and writes

Protecting your work by faithfully backing it up is something that everybody needs to do. But few actually do it. If you could have a system that makes backing up your data an absolutely simple, hands-off, no-brainer routine, would you buy it? What if it also stored 120GB of DV footage, ran at 7200 RPM, and could be hooked up to your Mac or PC in seconds via your choice of 1394 or USB 2.0? If this concept appeals to you, the $299 Maxtor Personal Storage 5000DV external drive is for you.

Which distance-learning approach best fits your business?

In today's business world, everyone has to watch the bottom line. That's why a large number of companies are implementing systems that help employees gain new skills through online courseware—so they will return to full productivity in the shortest time possible. Typical online learning topics include: e-business; leadership, management and communication skills; and how to boost productivity and increase profitability.

Mac OS X Troubleshooting Basics
Part 1: Application misbehavior and preference files

I don't know why I never started this series earlier. Both my e-mail and my user forums are inundated with requests from users for help with some of the most basic troubleshooting topics. Why? They've recently switched to Mac OS X, and they don't know where anything is. Me to the rescue!

Sonic Solutions MyDVD 4

My DVD 4 Video Suite Edition features Sonic's MyDVD DVD creation software and ArcSoft's consumer-level ShowBiz Producer video editing software. It is targeted at the entry level of the market that wants to have some editing capabilities to go along with their DVD authoring solution. Now in version 4, Sonic has added some new tools to the feature set as well as some enhancements to the existing features. Previous iterations were spartan applications that the company targeted to users who wanted to just get their video onto DVD. Version 4 has changed that a bit with new features such as the capability to use motion menus as well as the capability to create DVD still image slideshows with transitions and an accompanying soundtrack.
