Presentations with MediaSite Live: Transporting Bits Instead Of Humans
Why travel when you can present like this?

Companies across the world are looking to improve efficiency. One of the first things to go when budgets tighten is travel. Moving people half way around the world seems like an unnecessary expense and time-waster when you see the recent advances made in Web-based presentations. One company, Sonic Foundry, has developed MediaSite Live, a product that lets you use your everyday presentation program, capturing everything you do on your computer and combining it with video of yourself or anything else. Along with that video window are graphics you can design yourself. The result makes you wonder why you ever traveled anywhere to make a presentation.

The Irony of Networked Projectors
Readers question the need for networked projectors

Last week, I wrote an article on the value of networked projectors -- and the real applications that exist for them today. Since then, I have received 52 e-mails regarding the article. Three were from one person and two were from another, but 49 separate people took the time to write to me and give me their opinions on my column. In reality, that's about average for my column, but this week's responses surprised and amused me thus I felt the need to write about them.

Step 7: Conclude With Conviction
Seventh of a ten-part series

In the seventh of a ten-part series of articles, presentation expert Claudyne Wilder offers helpful hints for building a better presentation. This week, Claudyne urges you to conclude your presentations with a flourish of style and confidence, giving the impression that you could stand up there another hour and be perfectly content.
