Why travel when you can present like this? Companies across the world are looking to improve efficiency. One of the first things to go when budgets tighten is travel. Moving people half way around the world seems like an unnecessary expense and time-waster when you see the recent advances made in Web-based presentations. One company, Sonic Foundry, has developed MediaSite Live, a product that lets you use your everyday presentation program, capturing everything you do on your computer and combining it with video of yourself or anything else. Along with that video window are graphics you can design yourself. The result makes you wonder why you ever traveled anywhere to make a presentation. ![]() Readers question the need for networked projectors Last week, I wrote an article on the value of networked projectors -- and the real applications that exist for them today.
