With this book, Point, Click, and Wow!, you'll learn how to put together more compelling presentations with hundreds of tips and techniques you can't get anywhere else. Chapter 2 explains how an effective presentation has a flow to it. To create this flow, a presenter must organize the material around a central objective and story line, use a logical format to make the information understandable, integrate the electronic presentation into the whole speech, and make the presentation lively and vital by changing its pace.

In the fifth a ten-part series of articles, presentation expert Claudyne Wilder offers helpful tips to building a better presentation. As laptop presentations become more and more sophisticated with colors, builds and sounds, the presenter has to keep up with the screen image. As the screens are animated, the presenter needs to be animated. As the screens have interesting sounds, the presenter’s voice needs to be enthusiastic and lively. That is the nature of the presentation world today.

We've discussed in the past the ability of OS X to network with Windows machines and also gone over methods for connecting to AppleTalk servers over the Internet. Today we'll look at how to set up your Mac as an FTP server--including any firewall issues that might be involved--and also how to use the new FTP client functionality built into version 10.2.
