Projector manufacturers are using the "network" to both control a projector’s functions but also to deliver PowerPoint to a projector without the usual VGA cable. As producer of KNews and PresentationMaster.com for two years now, I remember where we were when I arrived in the industry, and marvel at where we are now. ![]() Conference-room audio technology gets the credit it deserves By Rock Stamberg Digital technology has become firmly entrenched in the layout and design of corporate meeting rooms. As audiovisual and teleconferencing equipment gets smaller and more pervasive, conference-room design must evolve to meet the needs of increasingly savvy end users. “Since September, I’ve been called in to design a lot more boardrooms—more people are buying into videoconferencing,” says John Storyk, co-principal of the Walters-Storyk Design Group in Highland, New York. “Culturally, I’m seeing more people accepting this as a way of doing business.” Mark Tracy, director of marketing at Middle Atlantic Products, an AV furniture-design firm in Riverdale, New Jersey, says, “As equipment becomes increasingly sophisticated, designers need the ability to effectively update it.” ![]() Image burn - how long?
